The design aims to inspire a new reading experience with its playful nature. Breaking away from the usual
linear configuration, the sense of rigidity is dissolved. Interaction between users is encouraged by the provision
of circular seats that are amalgamated with book displays. This degree of communication is two-fold as the
users are encouraged to interact with the other users as well as with the books. Splashes of exuberant
tones enliven the spirit of the space, giving the library an added sense of quirkiness. Circular niches of
varying colours are built into the display racks. These are targeted to young children for them to clamber into;
reminiscent of reading under the cover of a blanket holding a torchlight.
