Project Description: The Thrilitic is representing the three Abrahamic religions ( Judaism, Christianity, Islam ): the „three monotheistic faiths went their separate ways“. The three faiths „understand the role of Abraham“ in „differing ways“, and the relationships between Judaism and Christianity and between Judaism and Islam are „uneven“. Also, the three traditions are „demographically unbalanced and ideologically diverse“. Here, our proposal project seeks to unify. Rather than stigmatising, we do call to bring together the Three: the „three monotheistic faiths went their separate ways“, and bridging: bridging the gap between heart and mind, cultures and people; bridging the gap between ecology and technology, nature and money, bridging the gap between politics and economy, bridging the gap between the seemingly contradictory goals like efficiency and resilience, collaboration and competition, and diversity and coherence.
The design of the Thrilitic urban development is a sustainable urban hub for living, working and leisure located in Dubai, one of UAE’s most picturesque cities. Dubai is one of the Persian Golf’s most prosperous cities, especially renowned for its scenic landscapes. The Thrilitic mixed-use development becomes a major landmark. A rich mix of 24/7 functions occupies over 400,000m2 within three streamlined towers set atop a podium and landscaped plaza. With strong future ambitions especially concerning sustainability, economy and livability, Dubai is a city on the move.
In the design of the three towers, the urban face of the project twists towards the landscape, while the landscape aspect, in turn, acknowledges the urban context. Through this, the urban context and the landscape of the city are consolidated in one gesture. The main entrance to the south-west of the corner site appears as a prominent gateway from the city park and civic centre, as it borders both the urban built-up context and green axis/city park.
Thrilitic accommodates ultra luxury apartments and residences, boutiques, restaurants, cinema, art galleries, museum, leisure and sport facilities, and parking as well as the new Dubai municipality building. This wide range of mixed-use functions, not only provides residents and those working or staying in the complex with a healthy and socially integrated environment, it also ensures that programmes are active around the clock, creating a safe and lively neighbourhood for all.
A spiralling centre are situated at the centre of each towers spine, a spectacular atrium forms the organisational and visual focus of the podium interior. The atrium is designed as a spiral of overlapping layers, creating seamless connectivity and extensive sightlines between the spaces.
Thrilitic’s form and presence creates a significant fixed point in the Dubai skyline.
