Concept: circulation solution and how to divide spaces This showroom is located in the basement of a building with an area of 400 square meters. The previous use of this space, which was not used for a while, was a gym, and the client of the project decided to change its use to a place to display furniture. The main problem in this project was to solve the motion circulation in the space and this space was supposed to be designed and used as the gallery part of the store. After examining the case examples and analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the projects, the problem that was observed was the incompatibility of the design with the variable furniture used. Therefore, this motivated the designer to create a simple platform in terms of color and form so that it can be a suitable body for displaying the various furniture that is placed in it and the furniture is not affected by the architecture of the space. In the next step, it was tried to create the depth of the field and encourage the audience to follow their discoveries in space. To separate the space, instead of using partitions, two-sided folded plates were used to divide the space. Due to the fact that the basement space previously had another use and had to be converted into a showroom space, as well as the large number of bedroom sets that had to be displayed, it was important to solve the circulation and how to divide the spaces Because we didn’t want to lost the transparency of the spaces or the spaces or spaces become like rooms, the solution considered in the design was the use of folded screens to separate the spaces, which were connected from one point and not from one side. in such a way that they act like a wall together, or a wall and a ceiling, or a floor and a wall. Another thing that was paid attention to in the design was that the viewer should move according to the path that was created and considered, walk in the space without the feeling of monotony and fatigue and be drawn to the next space. The lighting of the space in order to create a whole unit in expressing the concept of the sense of suspension in the space was formed in such a way that more emphasis is placed on the bricks. In this way, linear lights were worked on the hollow surfaces of the bricks. By raising a part of the pages from the finished floor, we tried to create a certain privacy for the audience. A problem that can be looked at as a positive event was when the light sources were turned on in the center of the furniture arrangement, with the creation of a series of shadows and light triangles, this unintentional event was tried to be corrected over time. On the other hand, the suspended surfaces above the hypothetical line of 120 cm from the earth’s surface carry a series of defined lights that do not have a specific source. The furniture and especially the bed set made it possible for the designer to cut the space in the third dimension by using an imaginary line at the level of 120 cm. and place a part of the separating plates above the hypothetical line of sight and the other part below the 120 cm level. that this movement creates spaces that were full and empty together. To create a sense of suspense in the space, 90% of common points in the composition of the pages were combined through a single point instead of being considered as a line. In examining the built walls, the design team realized that three-hole bricks were used for the construction of the surrounding walls below the ground. This brick with its grooves and straps placed on a white background helped to show the sense of space. In terms of color, we tried to consider a color that is used in a completely raw and simple way, the dominant color for the pages and columns in the space is white and the floor of the space is light gray.
