Project Title

Stanford Pinto
The Thukher Social Club project is part of an initiative undertaken by the Dubai Police under the overarching objective of creating Blue Zones in the Emirate of Dubai where residents, particularly seniors, can experience longer, happier and healthier lives through the adoption of specific lifestyle practices and community initiatives. This objective is inspired by successful Blue Zones around the world. The project seeks to establish a designated venue that prioritize the well being of seniors, fostering an environment that supports their physical, mental, and social health. It aims at encouraging social engagement and intergenerational connections, and creating an environment that supports healthy eating habits, physical activity, and mental well being. Community engagement will be emphasized by organizing gatherings, cultural events, and recreational outings for seniors. The involvement of young volunteers and professionals will be encouraged to facilitate intergenerational interaction and knowledge exchange. Mentorship programs will also be established to allow seniors to share their wisdom and experiences with younger generations. The structure has a one of a kind design that embodies the ideals of nationalism and the spirit of the country. We accepted the task and developed many concepts. The three functions of the structure are split into three wings. We then began the adventure of bringing this notion to life and developing a design that was functional, efficient, and contemporary. This building is now complete and will be the first of its kind in the region, delivering services and care to the country’s older population. A community hall, craftwork training, a library, rehabilitation services, a gym, an event planning center, social and cultural events, as well as recreational and self care services, will be housed in this facility.
